Difference between PMBLDC motor and Switched Reluctance motor:

The difference between PMBLDC motor (Permanent Magnet Brushless DC Motor) and Switched Reluctance motor is given in table below

Sl no PMBLDC motor Switched Reluctance motor
1 Permanent magnet is used. Ferro magnetic material is used.
2 Rotor is cylindrical in shape. Rotor will be a modified squirrel cage one.
3 For high speed operation, torque will be controllable. For high speed operation, torque will be uncontrollable.
4 Flux will be uniformly distributed. Flux will not be uniformly distributed.
